As always, we’ve got the full changelog below. On top of the PBR updates, the car also received some new textures on all facets to properly display the updates. It’s a beginner’s single-seater and the team at Studio 397 didn’t want to “allow this classic to grow old and eventually slip off into sim racing retirement following the release of new chassis’ within the USF series.” Dan Wheldon, Sage Karam and Oliver Askew are a few names that have won at this level nationally in the United States. The USF2000 itself is an Americanized version of the Formula F that is raced on the first step of the Road to Indy ladder. There have also been teases of PBR updates in the most recent roadmap. We’ve recently seen PBR updates to Sebring and Lime Rock Park. PBR shading, which is Physically Based Rendering, gives a more realistic vibe to whatever it is implemented on. Announced on Monday, the entry-level open wheel favorite was given the latest bells and whistles from the graphics department. The latest rFactor 2 news from Studio 397 is a visual update to the 2016 edition of the USF2000.
